What is the Water Innovation Summit

The Water Innovation Summit is a congress event dedicated to the most topical issues concerning the integrated water service and, in particular, technology transfer between Israel and Italy. The choice of a privileged relationship with Israel by the organizers is motivated by the fact that it is a country which, making a virtue of necessity, has distinguished itself worldwide in recent decades for the conception and development of innovative technologies for the management of the water service when there is a shortage of a very precious asset such as water.

The organization

The Water Innovation Summit 2023 is organized by the Economic and Commercial Mission office of the Israeli Ministry of Economy in Milan and the Israel Export Institute in collaboration with Acquedotto Pugliese and will take place in Bari, at the Fiera del Levante Congress Center, from 21 to 23 June 2023. The event is conceived by the IWS – Integrated Watercare Solutions business network in collaboration with the Israel Export Institute and is part of a three-year cycle of initiatives which is characterized by the Water Innovation Roadshow, mission economy of the main Italian water utilities in Israel (2022), followed by two appointments with the Water Innovation Summit (Bari, 2023 – Palermo, 2024).

Participants

The Water Innovation Summit Scientific Committee is made up of eminent personalities from the world of science and in particular from the water sector. The program is divided into three working days that address, in addition to the topic of technology transfer between Israel and Italy, also focus on the main topical issues of the Integrated Water Service, regarding the design of interventions in relation to PNRR and REACT-EU funds, digitization of water and sewer networks, water purification and reuse, and international cooperation.
