
Erasmo D’Angelis
He is President of the Earth Water Agenda Foundation, promoter of Italy’s bid for the World Water Forum 2027. He served as secretary general of the Central Apennine River Basin District Authority from 2018 to 2022 and promoted the Observatory on Water Uses, the start of construction of Italy’s first anti-simic aqueduct in the Marche region, and the design of the first system of reservoirs for the hydraulic safety of the Tiber River. He coordinated at Palazzo Chigi from 2014 to 2018 the mission structure “Italiasicura” for combating hydrogeological instability and developing water infrastructure. He served as Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transportation in the Letta government, with delegated responsibility for water infrastructure. From December 2009 to 2013, he was president of Publiacqua, the integrated water service company of central Tuscany. As a professional journalist and environmental popularizer, he has published books and guidebooks, the latest one devoted to “Waters of Italy.” He organized three International Mud Angels Gatherings that arrived in flooded Florence on November 4, 2006.
